General

Do you have a single license version?

Yes. However, this is only useful in a single user organisation. To add other consultants to listings and buyers you need a licence for each user.

Will Boom replace MYOB?

No. MYOB is a general accounting program and Boom only handles trust accounting. If you are using MYOB for trust accounting, you should use Boom instead.

Will the sales consultants use Boom?

Yes. At worst, they will retrieve data from it because Boom is so user-friendly. Furthermore, if you follow our recommendations, the results are satisfying enough to encourage its use.

How often do you upgrade?

We develop in two-week iteration cycles and typically release a number of new features every fortnight. Boom has a dedicated team of developers continually improving the application.

Can part-time staff log on as me to enter data?

Yes.

I am a dinosaur and my company is old-fashioned. How will this work?

You must employ a person that is proficient on a computer. Aside from that, once you see the benefit of having really easy to understand information at your fingertips, you will make the transformation from dinosaur to Boom legend.

I am too busy listing and selling houses. Do I have to use it?

No… and yes. If you are too busy listing and selling houses, we recommend you have someone enter data for you, such as a receptionist or PA. Yes: you will be amazed at how easy it is to find contact information, so much so that you will never return to the days of post-it notes or cards.

We’ve been down this path before and no-one would use the system.

Getting started

When can we get started?

Instantly. As soon as we receive your signed order form and initial payment, you will be granted access to BoomIgnition. This is our exclusive start-up site designed to take you from the initial sign up stage through to having the sales consultants actively using Boom.

Should we start small (just a few users) as a trial?

No. This can and will be counter productive and greatly increase the likelihood of failure. To implement Boom represents a change in your culture. Boom invokes transparency and respect for the company's central data records. Company cultures are hard enough to change when the leader is emphatic. To partly attempt to introduce change may end up being futile.

Will you forget about us once we have signed?

Yes. We mean no — of course not! We have a comprehensive process from sign-up to ongoing training. It is very important to note that you hold the key and must be accountable for the success of Boom. BoomIgnition guides you through the startup process and addresses all of the issues that you may face. BoomTrain provides all the resources you need to perform all of the standard tasks in Boom. BoomSupport is a comprehensive resource with a 'Google' style search facility and related topics. If you still haven't found what you need, email support@boxdice.com.au and every single email received to this address is assigned a case number and our full time staff are dedicated to closing off every case.

Can I have my data migrated into Boom?

Yes. However, this process can be very tedious and is largely dependent on the quality of your original data. There are fees for doing this. Please click here to download our data migration instructions and pricing.

What happens once I sign and pay?

How do I sign and pay?

Features

Do you do rentals?

No. However, this is definitely in the 'intermediate plan' for our development team.

Do you do holiday rentals?

No. However, this is definitely in the 'intermediate plan' for our development team.

Does Boom handle advertising campaigns?

Yes. However Boom does not generate media such as graphical templates ready for production (i.e. a signboard layout). Boom has the facility to send an order directly to your supplier and integrates with Media Vendors such as Advenda and Campaigntrack (and associated products). Does Boom handle trust accounting?

Does it come with standard letters?

Yes, Boom comes loaded with enough standard documents to get you going. However, you can fuel your Boom application with BoomNitro. BoomNitro is an optional pack of over 50 letters, email templates, dozens of loyalty campaigns and auto alerts. This also includes customisation of BoomNitro to suit your needs (up to 1 hour).

What does Boom cost?

Boom's pricing structure is determined by the number of users, your business structure and any optional product requirements you have. To find out how much Boom will cost your business, please email sales@boxdice.com.au.

Can we negotiate fees?

Unfortunately, our fees must remain constant out of respect to existing clients. Furthermore, the Boom fee is comprehensively disproportionately low as against the service offered and the impact it will have on your organisation.

Training

Do you have training?

Boom has both online and face-to-face training options available. Monthly face-to-face sessions and consultants are also available to conduct specific, tailored training as required.

How do I get all staff trained?

Boom has online training sessions as well as monthly face-to-face sessions and/or consultants that are available to conduct specific, tailored training as required. Note that it is the champion's role to make sure all staff are trained using the online resources.

Terminology

What do you mean when you say 'user'?

Boom's pricing structure is based on the number of users. Each login profile/license is counted as a 'user'.

What is a web portal?

A web portal is a web site to which agents load their listings for the public. Examples are realestate.com.au and domain.com.au.

What is a loyalty campaign/program?

A loyalty campaign is a one-click facility to schedule dozens of future events for a contact.
